LOGANTON, PA – The 2012 Eastern Conference Playoffs slate has been set after awaiting who wouldn’t be taken in the PIAA District Playoffs on Sunday.
In Class A, Muncy (7-3) will host Northwest Area (5-5) at Stanley Schuyler Memorial Stadium on Friday night at 7pm. Meanwhile, the Mighty Bucks of Bucktail (6-3) will host Schuylkill Haven (5-5) in Farwell; located in Western Clinton County. This will definitely be the longest trip for Schuylkill Haven this season, nearly three hours away. Bucktail is a perennial participant in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
In Class AA, North Schuylkill (7-3) will host the Wilkes Barre – Meyers (5-5) squad on Friday night. The winner of that game won’t know their opponent until Saturday night, as Palisades (6-4) will host Carbondale (5-5).
In Class AAA, Crestwood (7-3) will be at home entertaining Scranton Prep (6-4), in one of the big games in the playoffs on Friday night. The winner of that game will face either Wilkes Barre – Coughlin (6-4) or Muhlenberg (6-4).
In Class AAAA, Wyoming Valley West (7-3) will host Emmaus (5-5). While, Nazareth (5-4) will go up against East Stroudsburg North (6-4), the game will be played in Nazareth.
The Eastern Conference selection committee did a outstanding job on selecting good, quality opponents for the playoffs.
