Showdowns in PIAA District X Baseball playoff action will resume on Thursday, Friday and Monday, throughout the region.
In Class A, Mercer and West Middlesex will battle in one of the two semifinal games; meanwhile, Eisenhower and Rocky Grove square off in the other semifinal. Eisenhower made it to the state championship game last season before ending their season. Both of those games play on Monday.
Class AA will feature Fairview and North East, Reynolds and Franklin, Hickory and Girard; and, Lakeview and Sharon. All four games will be played on Friday.
Class AAA will have excitement of its own, with Cathedral Prep and Harborcreek battling in one quarterfinal matchup. Meanwhile, General McLane will face Oil City; Fort LeBoeuf will take on Warren; and Slippery Rock and Grove City rounding out the field, playing on Thursday.
Semifinal action will get underway on Memorial Day; while, the Championship games will take place on Thursday, June 2nd.
