JAMESTOWN, NY – The Southern Tier Xpress junior hockey team will play their final regular season matchup this evening against the West Michigan Wolves.
The Wolves are looking at this matchup as a tuneup in their preparations for the postseason playoffs. The Wolves will travel to the Toledo Ice House Arena and take on the Cherokee, next Friday night in Game 1.
The Metro Jets will face off against the Wooster Oilers next week, in the other East Division playoff match.
Pittsburgh Vengeance and the Xpress failed to make the postseason playoffs.
Southern Tier (8-34-4) is looking to finish the season on a high note. The revamped Xpress team has been making strides on improvement through various acquisitions since midseason.
Head Coach / GM Brian Ramm has seen the improvements and better communications amongst the players and staff.
Game time is set for 7pm at the beautiful Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena, in downtown Jamestown.
The game will be broadcast on The Keystone Sports Network, Kickin’ Country 1370 – WWCB and ESPN Erie @ 92.7 HD2 – The Game. Airtime is set for 6:50pm.
