Two New Members Join PSAC Beginning in 2013

Lock Haven, PA – The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and Seton Hill University have accepted invitations to join the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference as full-time members. LOCK HAVEN, PA – The 2012 Lock Haven University Football Hall of Fame Class has been announced. This year’s class is made of eight former Bald Eagle standout players and one former assistant coach and athletic director. The nine individuals, who make up the 2012 class are James Pletcher (1947-50), Carmen Leto (1954-57), William Kahler (1958-61), Jerry Roberts (1958-61), Samuel Vaughn (1968-70), Steve Orsini (1978-79), William Sementelli (1977-80), Bobby Lynn (1978-82) and Steve Jacobs (assistant football coach, 1953-68 & athletic director, 1953-72). LOCK HAVEN, PA – Junior Nick Cummings (Akron, N.Y./Akron) of the Lock Haven University baseball team has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Pitcher of the Week. Cummings put together a tremendous performance in his lone appearance of the week against PSAC West rival Slippery Rock. LOCK HAVEN, PA – Mallory Weisen, the assistant coach for the Lock Haven University field hockey team has been selected to the United States Women’s National Indoor Field Hockey Team that is gearing up for the 2012 Pan Am Championships. LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Lock Haven University softball team (14-11) spilt today’s doubleheader with Millersville University (10-18). LHU dropped game one, 5-1, but bounced back with a solid 6-4 win in game two. Nicole Smith (Milton, Pa./Milton) was 2-for-2 and Bridgette Clarke (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) was 2-for-4 at the plate in game one.
