SOMERSET, N.J. (March 5, 2012) – After a couple of hard fought wins to open the 2012 season, the Saint Francis University softball team can add a couple of individual Northeast Conference awards to its solid start. Paige Smith picks up her first NEC Player of the Week award while newcomer Chelsea Rex was recognized as the top rookie within the conference. LHU Volleyball Loses in Championship Match

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (20-9) looked to spark up a huge comeback for the second straight night, but it wasn’t to be as the Lady Eagles lost 3-1 (26-24, 25-22, 19-25 & 25-22) to rival California (Pa.) University (31-4) in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship match. Last night, LHU came back from two down to rally past defending PSAC champ Clarion University to reach tonight’s conference final.
