Penn College Named Co-Champions of PSUAC Volleyball

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team has been named Co-Champions with Penn State Fayette of the Penn State University Athletic Conference.  The decision comes a week after the scheduled final was postponed due to Superstorm Sandy.

The decision was made by the conference volleyball committee after attempts to reschedule were unsuccessful due to the United State Collegiate Athletic Association national tournament occurring later that week.

The championship is the second for the Wildcats having captured their first in 2004 while Fayette wins its fifth consecutive and seventh overall.

Fayette was the regular season champion going undefeated and went into playoffs the top seed. They swept #4 Penn State Hazleton 3-0 in the semifinals.  Penn College finished the regular season in second place and took down #3 Penn State Brandywine 3-1 in the other semifinal.
