LHU Womens Soccer Cruises Past Clarion

LOCK HAVEN, PA  – Madison Taylor (Monaca, Pa./Center) netted a hat trick to lead the Lock Haven University women’s soccer team past visiting Clarion University, 4-1.

The Lady Eagles (3-2, 1-2 PSAC) dominated Clarion (1-3-2, 1-3 PSAC) from the start and went up 1-0, in the 11th minute after Taylor scored the first of her three goals on the day.

Taylor’s three goals give her 19 for her career, which ties her for eighth all-time on the Lady Eagles career goal list.

Taylor scored a pair of second half goals and Morgan Rogers (Glenmore, Pa./Downingtown East) added one as LHU cruised to victory today at Hubert Jack Stadium.

Lock Haven got a solid defensive effort from a number of players and Dana Wozniak (Blackstone, Mass./Mount St. Charles Academy) made on save in the win.

Lock Haven returns to action on Saturday, September 22 at IUP at 2 p.m.
