LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University wrestling team is set for the 2012 LHU Wrestling and Mat-Town USA Wrestling Club Golf Classic.
The 2012 tournament benefits the Mat-Town USA wrestling club and LHU wrestling scholarships, including the Chris Poff & Troy Turner Memorial wrestling scholarships.
The tournament is set for Friday, September 21 and will once again be played on both local golf courses. The tournament will be played in a four-person scramble format with a 10 a.m. shotgun start set for Belles Springs Golf Course and an 11 a.m. start set for Clinton Country Club.
The cost is $100 per person or $400 per foursome.
The registration fee covers greens fees & cart, continental breakfast, beverages and dinner (at Clinton Country Club, 3:30 p.m.).
There will also be prizes and championship gifts, Par 3 contests and closest to the pin, longest drive contests, door prizes and giveaways.
The Mat-Town USA wrestling club and LHU wrestling are also looking for sponsors for this wonderful event. More information is listed below.
As always, part of the special event is a youth and coaches wrestling clinic hosted by the Lock Haven Bald Eagle coaching staff.
The youth clinic (Grades K-12) is set for Thursday, September 20 (6 – 8 p.m.) at the Mat-Town Training Center. Cost is $20.
The coaches clinic is set for Friday, September 21 (8 – 10 a.m.) at the Mat-Town Training Center.
