WILLIAMSPORT, PA – Trevor Karasiewicz came to Airmen Pond at Historic Bowman Field Tuesday evening with 56 assists on the season, a mark that tied him with last year’s Outlaws captain and teammate, Travis Kauffeldt. Karasiewicz would finish the night as the Outlaws franchise single season assists record and his Outlaws would skate away with a 5-3 win over the 1000 Island Privateers
Chris Leveille got the Outlaws on the board first with his rebound goal at the 4:39 mark of the first period. The goal was assisted by Kevin Cooper and Tim Recio. The Privateers were able to tie the game shortly after when Justin MacDonald found the twine behind Mike DiLorenzo at the 8:16 mark. The goal was unassisted.
Williamsport regained the lead with a Matt Smyth power play goal at the 11:23 mark of the period. Karasiewicz picked up the record assist on the goal. 1000 Islands tied it before the end of the period with a goal from Peter Campbell at the 18:26 mark. The assists went to Nikolas Temple and Adam McAllister to. The period came to a close tied 2-2.
Williamsport would add two goals in the second period. The first goal came from Karasiewicz on a pass from Anthony Battaglia at the :52 mark to give the Outlaws a 3-2 lead. Chris Leveille would score his second goal of the season to make it 4-2 in favor of the Outlaws. The assists were picked up by Karasiewicz and Smyth.
1000 Islands would cut into the Outlaws lead with a goal from Kris McCarthy at the 1:07 mark of the third period. Taylor Larsen and Peter Campbell were credited with the assists on the goal. Anthony Battaglia would put the game away with an empty netter, giving the Outlaws a 5-3 lead.
Mike DiLorenzo picked up his third consecutive win for the Outlaws, stopping 38 of the 41 shots faced against the Privateers.
Peter Dundovich made 25 saves on the 29 shots that he faced in the loss.
