LORETTO, PA – The National Tenpin Coaches Association released its December national bowling rankings with the Saint Francis U squad in 11th on the 20-team list.
The Red Flash move up eight spots in the poll, after being spotted 19th in the original ranking from the preseason. Head coach Tom Falbo and his SFU squad has enjoyed its best start in the program’s three years in 2012. Saint Francis took home three tournament titles in the first half of the season, including a victory at its home event, the Red Flash Invitational.
SFU has also enjoyed some success on the individual level as well with four of its members ranked in the top-15 nationally in averages.
Eight of the 10 Northeast Conference bowling members made the cut with the Red Flash being the fourth ranked among them. The next NTCA national rankings poll is slated to be released in February 2013.
Saint Francis enjoys nearly a two-month break in between tournaments and will get back to the lanes Jan. 25-27 at the KU (Kutztown University) Invitational in Reading, Pa.
