KUTZTOWN, PA – Bobby Rehm (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) and Fred Garcia (Donora, Pa./Ringgold) both won individual titles and all 10 Bald Eagles placed at Saturday’s PSAC Championships as the Lock Haven University wrestling team finished fourth overall in the team standings.
Rehm defended his title at 125 pounds, while Garica took home the title at 184.
No. 20 Jake Kemerer (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) took second in a deep and talented 157-pound weight class.
Dan Neff (Quarryville, Pa./Solanco), Zach Heffner (New Berlinville, Pa./Boyertown) and Phil Sprenkle (Seven Valleys, Pa./Dallastown) all took third today for Lock Haven.
Mac Maldarelli (Merrick, N.Y./Nassau C.C.) and Harry Turner (Howell, N.J./Howell) both placed fourth for the Bald Eagles, while Matt Bryer (Cochranton, Pa./Cochranton) and Aaron McKinney (Imperial, Pa./West Allegheny) both placed sixth.
No. 19 Edinboro took home the team title. The Fighting Scots were followed by Clarion and No. 25 Bloomsburg, who rounded out the top-three teams. Lock Haven was fourth overall, just nine points behind third-place Bloom.
The Bald Eagles return to action on Saturday, December 15 at 2 p.m. when they travel to No. 1 Penn State for a non-conference dual.

125: Rehm went 3-0 on the way to the title. Defeated Clarion’s Tyler Fraley in quarterfinals 13-12, defeated Willie Bohst of Mercyhusrt 15-2 in semifinals and defeated Kory Mines of Edinboro in championship, 10-4. Rehm is the only other LHU wrestler to win a PSAC title at 125 since 2005 (Obenson Blanc). Rehm is now a two-time PSAC champ.
133: Bryer went 2-3 and finished sixth. Lost first match to Bloom’s Nick Wilcox 11-2. Defeated Devin Holmes of ESU 14-1. Defeated Austin Ormsbee of Kutz 7-5 SV. Lost to Mercyhurst’s Dylan DUrso 5-2. Lost to Ship’s Cameron Thockmorton 4-2.

285: Turner takes fourth overall. Opened tournament with pin, but fell in second match 5-2 to eventual champion Justin Grant of Bloomsburg. Lost to rival-Ernest James of Edinboro in third-place bout.

– The NLO tournament field featured nearly 500 from over 30 schools, including nine, top-25 team.
