PALM BAY, FL – The Federal Hockey League announced their Players of the Month for October and November on Sunday.
The Williamsport Outlaws Trevor Karasiewicz (#17) played 21 games during those two months and was able to net three goals and assist on 32 others. In addition, he got a +18 and 1 SHG during that same period to obtain the FHL Player of the Month honors.
Mike Hoban of the Dayton Demonz received the FHL Rookie of the Month honors for October and November.
Hoban played in 11 games for the Demonz, while getting eight goals and seven assists. Averaging three points per game and a +12.
Matt Anthony of the 1000 Islands Privateers received the FHL Goalie of the Month award.
Anthony is a league leader with GAA: 2.57 (1st), Save %: .935 (1st) and
Shutouts: 2 (1st) and is second in the league with 839 minutes played this season.
The Federal Hockey League is in the midst of preparing for its 1st FHL All Star Game, to be played under the frozen tundra of Airmen Pond at Historic Bowman Field on January 2, 2013.
Fan selected all stars from across the league will face off against the Williamsport Outlaws in this inaugural event.
The FHL All Star Luncheon will feature keynote speaker Paul D’ Amato, from the cult 70’s movie, Slap Shot; that featured D’ Amato as Tim “Dr. Hook” McCracken of the fictional Charlestown Chiefs. The movie was shot in Johnstown, PA at the now – famous Cambria County War Memorial.
