CLARION, PA – Behind career nights from Leonard Patterson and Mike Kromka, the Clarion University men’s basketball team picked up its first win of the season, 77-67, over Houghton Tuesday night at Tippin Gym. MILLERSVILLE, PA – The Lock Haven University women’s soccer team (5-3-4, 2-3-4 PSAC) played to its fourth straight draw today, as the Lady Eagles tied Millersville (3-5-4, 1-5-3 PSAC) 0-0 in PSAC play. SANDUSKY SENTENCED TO 30 – 60 YEARS

BELLEFONTE, PA – Former Penn State University Defensive Coordinator Jerry Sandusky has been sentenced to 30 – 60 years, with no opportunity for parole, after being convicted of 45 counts of child abuse. Sandusky expressed anger when he left the Centre County Courthouse in his red prison jumpsuit and placed in the right, rear passenger seat. WILLIAMSPORT, PA – The final day of the District IV High School Golf Championships were held on Saturday at The Williamsport Country Club. Austin Renz (Danville) won the Class AA Boys Individual Championship, with a two – day total of 146. That after recording a 75 on Saturday. ROCK HILL, SC – In the eight team field at the Winthrop Invitational, the Saint Francis University women’s golf team earned a fourth place showing following Sunday’s final round. Coming in to Sunday’s final round the Flash women sat in a tie for second place but were tripped up slightly by a 315 on day two.
