LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Mercyhurst field hockey team has been voted to finish tied for eighth in the 2015 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Preseason Coaches’ Poll, released Thursday by the league office. The Lakers earned a spot in the 2014 PSAC Tournament, finishing fifth in the standings. In this year’s poll, the defending champions, West Chester, were selected to finish in first place. ERIE, PA – Gannon head men’s basketball coach John T. Reilly announced the program’s 2015-16 regular-season schedule Thursday afternoon. The 26-game slate includes a pair of preseason exhibitions against NCAA Division I opponents, 22 contests against Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opponents, the 32nd Annual Gary Miller Classic and the Annual Porreco Game. ERIE, PA – The Gannon women’s golf program has announced the addition of Rebecca Red Horse (Mesa, Ariz./Xavier College Preparatory) and Julia Santo (Hawley, Pa./Wallenpaupack). Both student-athletes have agreed to continue their academic and athletic careers at Gannon in the fall of 2015. Gannon recorded six top-five finishes in 10 events last season, including a team championship at the Mercyhurst Spring Invitational. The squad placed third at the PSAC Championships, posting its fourth consecutive top-three finish.
