LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Mercyhurst field hockey team has been voted to finish tied for eighth in the 2015 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Preseason Coaches’ Poll, released Thursday by the league office. The Lakers earned a spot in the 2014 PSAC Tournament, finishing fifth in the standings. In this year’s poll, the defending champions, West Chester, were selected to finish in first place. Two New Recruits for Gannon Women’s Golf Program

ERIE, PA – The Gannon women’s golf program has announced the addition of Rebecca Red Horse (Mesa, Ariz./Xavier College Preparatory) and Julia Santo (Hawley, Pa./Wallenpaupack). Both student-athletes have agreed to continue their academic and athletic careers at Gannon in the fall of 2015. Gannon recorded six top-five finishes in 10 events last season, including a team championship at the Mercyhurst Spring Invitational. The squad placed third at the PSAC Championships, posting its fourth consecutive top-three finish.

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – A total of 32 Penn State football alumni are populating the training camp rosters of 21 National Football League teams. The Nittany Lions annually are among the top 20 programs nationally in producing players in the NFL.
