Saint Francis kicker Lance Geesey (Harrisburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) picked up his second All-American honor on Monday, being named to the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) team.  He is the first Red Flash player since 2007 to be named to two different All-American teams in the same season.  He was selected by the Athletics Directors Association last week.

SFU kicker Lance Geesey (Harrisburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) was named an FCS All-American on Thursday by the Athletics Directors Association(ADA).  Geesey led the FCS in field goal percentage, making 16-of-17 attempts for 94 percent.

SFU Football junior Lorenzo Jerome (Sunrise, Fla./J.P. Taravella) was named a Second Team All-American as a Kick Returner by STATS FCS! Jerome led the FCS in Kick Return average, including two returns for touchdowns.  Jerome is the fifth Red Flash to be named an All-American since 2007.

SFU Football Head Coach Chris Villarrial was selected as a finalist for STATS FCS Coach of the Year on Monday.  Villarrial is one of 15 finalists after leading the Red Flash its first winning season since 1992.

Saint Francis Football dropped a 30-20 decision at Duquesne on Saturday in the NEC Title Game.  The Red Flash ends the season with a 7-4 overall record, including 4-2 in the NEC, in one of the best years in program history.
